Disagree because they make a good pie that is very unlike the other places in town. It's a fairly unique product for the area and I find it very good. My issue with Fleur de lis isn't the prices, but rather the long wait times for food.

I hated that Around the World pizza. The pizza had MAYBE a teaspoon of sauce over the entire pie, and must have had a pound of ground beef. It was just dry and ground beef-y.

I thought I was eating a taco pizza

The atmosphere made the food taste worse; I'm convinced! lol. Children running around the place, dark/damp place that looked really unclean, weird hospital looking plates that the pizza is on.. and we were sitting by the front glass, which was lined with mildewed towels because it was raining and they have serious leakage issues.

My BFF works there, and I was like "I love you, but I'm not coming back".

I disagree about Byronz, but everyone is entitled to an opinion.

My vote is Superior Grill.

An honorable mention to Roul's.

I know that WalkOns already isn't very good, but I went to the Towne Centre one Tuesday night, and they managed to screw up the few things they do right.

I had the small cheese fries. I swear I wish I was exaggerating, but there were exactly 9 waffle fries.. plenty of cheese and crumbled bacon.. and 3 banana pepper slices.

My friend had never gotten them, and I convinced him that the small was plenty and that they mountain peppers on top. Boy, did I look stupid when they came out.

I just found this photo of a small on Yelp. I think I'm going to text it to my friend so I don't look insane.

I can only count 9 fries on that plate, might be 1 underneath though.

I agree with you on Walk-Ons. The hate probably goes overboard, somewhat. I may go there occasionally for a quick lunch with friends or a beer. But I'm not expecting more than average bar food.

I have to get a shoutout to Pasttime and George's.

Pasttime food and atmosphere is kinda like going to somebody's house. Somebody who gives you food that is average at best and isn't a very good host. Kinda like, whatever here you go. We are not going out of our way to take care of you.

George's: so their combo seafood platter (shrimp and fish for example) after tax approaches $30 (it's about $27.50 after tax). Also if you get a burger and fries it's in the $16-$18 range if I'm not mistaken.

I'm really not hard to please when it comes to eating out... some places I like better than others but I can't think of too many BR non-chain restaurants that suck. There are definitely exceptions though...

La Divina - only been once, but it sucked
Boutin's - duh

I could put together a much longer list of places I feel are overrated, but that's a different subject than "worst" restaurant.

Went to the north BR location on the way back from a hunt. It was dirty and horrible. the location is probably why it sucked.

I like it for the "old school" feeling. I always order a large (the small just isn't the same), and it has to have extra sauce.

The one by Southern stinks... not sure how else to describe it, but it just has a foul odor to it.

The one on Plank was always good though.

The one on Terrace/East Blvd. was always good when the dude was working, but it's closed now.

I've never had a bad burger from the LSU location, but I've probably been there the least due to parking/traffic being a pain around lunchtime.

Exactly.

"Worst" restaurants tend to take care of themselves by going out of business. People don't keep returning to "worst" restaurants. So Boutin's gets my vote too. Worst fastfood is Arby's. I rarely see more than two cars in the parking lot. The food always has a "I should have eaten somewhere else" taste. I like Arby's, just not the Baton Rouge Arby's locations.

That thing has way more than we got. It was so few that they were all laying flat. Like, there was no pile. It was fries placed in a flat layer

Ah. See, I don't find "old school" atmospheres charming. They usually = dirty, in my mind Different strokes though.

Plus, the stories of their owners keep me away.

their famous Village Bread is a frozen Sysco product.

No it's not. It's baked locally.

Byronz doesn't even buy from Sysco

Pot Roast. Who gives a flying shite about pot roast.

The funny thing is the pot roast come pre-cooked and frozen. It's a Hillshire/Sara Lee product.

Rookie move--you gotta stick with the basic pepperoni or cheese--THOSE are the best pizzas in BR. All their other ones, no thank you.

Here's a couple that come to mind:
Ninfa's
Sullivan's
Superior
Coyote Blues
Pastime
Times Grill
Sammy's
Las Palmas
Texas de Brazil
Mike Anderson's
Tsunami (good for drinks outside though)
BJ's
Schlittz

ETA: add Drunken Fish
