What the hell happened that an employee threw anything at you?

Since it hasn't been asked, i think, what would you say are the best BR restaurants, especially ones that compete on the level of the two you mentioned.
On the level of little village? literally any other restaurant. Roberto's is a favorite of mine. I like Juban's. Cost about the same as LV.
Byronz? Not sure but their >$10 po boys are abominable. Tastes like microwave quality every time I've been. Their gumbo? Terrible. Yes, they have a nice bar, but all their food I've tried has been universally terrible.
- Parrain's is pretty good and about the same prices as Byronz I think off the top of my head.

Didn't like their pot roast, burger wasn't bad, but wasn't great. Actually had a good salad there once. That's about the extent of what I've tried. What really pissed me off about the gumbo was that they used that parboiled instant rice.

Overpriced and their famous Village Bread is a frozen Sysco product.

Apparently, you take your own order there. If you're not a regular and didn't know that, tough shite.
When you ask a question about a pizza, you're given a pad of paper and told "WRITE IT DOWN"..
Not to count the whole gravy incident on here.

Nobody on earth dislikes Byronz's pot roast. You lost all credibility.

I could drink their Asian vinaigrette.

Fleur de Lis, no doubt

Another Broken Egg
Stadium (the most horrible meal I have ever eaten)
Mike Andersons
I also swore off The Little Village but went back when they had participated in Restaurant Week and got a great meal at a decent price. That isn't the norm, though and I would never go there for full price.
Some places I don't mind the food but find the prices too high, such as Hello Sushi.
I see people listing Fleur De Lis and have to agree. Went there once and thought it was a complete shite show. Took forever to get food, no refills, cash only and the pizza was NOT the best I have had. I wouldn't even call it the best in town but let's not act like "best pizza in Baton Rouge" actually means anything.

I hate how 'chainified' local restaurants in BR can be. Byronz is one of the worst examples of this.

quote:OK, whew...you made it seem as if something was hurled toward you. Sounds like almost every experience I have in these faux Japanese restaurants. Instead of a traditional oshibori, the first thing I get is a piece of paper and a graphite utensil that has been handled by at least a dozen other people, and instructed to submit my own order.

I don't see the big deal.
Posted on 12/3/14 at 10:15 pm to LSUTigersVCURams
Boutin's. Even if they charged $1 a meal, it would be overpriced because the food is so shitty.
And I know it's a local place and they have money problems. The food there sucks, bottom line.

This must be the "straight up hatin' on BR restaurants" thread.
