I find his and the restaurant’s whole shtick pretty dumb but the food has been pretty good the times I’ve been.

Super outspoken liberal that is in your face with it. That said from mutual friends he seems to genuinely be a great guy, and T&TW and Molly’s are both amazing. I’m excited to try their new place too.

I’ve eaten there a few times, used to live not far from it. I thought it was fine, but if I’m in the area and want a sandwich, I’m going to Stein’s. It’s absolutely absurd that T&W was named best new restaurant in America by Food and Wine, this is an opinion I held before the political drivel that they spouted.

His politics got that award, not his product. F& W is overrun with political bias and has been for years...the very reason I canceled my subscription many years ago. They just won’t stick to food.
