That makes sense. I’m an idiot.

Waiter needs to up his game. I would have broken no less than 10 glasses if that was my table.

That enoteca and the enoteca in Greve are by far the best I've been to in Italy. If you're in Tuscany and drink wine both are required stops.

Switching off from bigger reds into summertime wines. Vinho verde, picpoul de pinet, albarino, rose, txakolina, and the like.

Slight aside, any body use SommSelect or other like services. Have found some great wines off there.

I'm stuck in a Sancerre/sauvignon blanc shaped rut. Still, it's a nice rut.

Haven't quite switched to rose with an ice cube yet, but the 90 degree temps aren't far away.

I used to really enjoy the Robert Mondavi Fume Blanc but haven't seen it around in years. And who knows how my taste may have changed, but that was a great summer sipper that you could reliably find in any beach adjacent grocery store.

What (if anything) are yall using for wine preservation?

We considered a Coravin for a while but lately are using Repour with pretty good results since we're drinking smaller amounts but more frequently.

This is a favorite of mine. I'm going to have to grab some soon with it getting so hot.

You should be able to find this at most places with a somewhat decent selection.

We use coravin for work, but at home, any bottle not finished is like a last bottle of the night that we don't care about because our taste buds are shot.

Should probably have said I haven’t been looking for it.

Got turned onto a picpoul rose recently. Really enjoyed it.

Foncalieu is the producer; Neat Wines is the Louisiana distributor.

And correction it should be Piquepoul
