A Frescobaldi for $10? Yup.

Just got my spring shipment from Chateau Montelena. Two bottles of 2010 Chardonnay were in the shipment. That one wine age for a while.

Exactly. I love it. Frescobaldi is great.

Opened another. This is always so sweet, but I do like it.

It's not fair for you to be in this thread.

I literally give away more wine than I drink.

I had a bottle of delicioso Tempranillo a few days ago. Wanted a good tasting wine that was cheap that I could use to make a reduction with. The wine was pretty damn tasty and only $8.

Thanks for starting this thread, we need someone who knows shite to curate

Tonight it's a 2016 Montalbera Fuori Catalogo. I know nothing about Italian reds and this was bought blind off Last Bottle.

Wine: What are you drinking?

If I'm drinking wine, it's usually whatever you, and your wife through you, recommend.

I've had some great bottles from your (probably her) suggestions.

I had the Bogle Phantom a couple weeks ago.
Really really really good for ~$20

Gave a bottle to my assistant as a thank you, and gave a bottle to my wife's girlfriend.

She (both) thank me every time she sees me.

I don’t really drink wine but I buy it occasionally for my wife and for gifts. I noticed the picture you posted and thought I think I may have bought something similar.

Most times I just look for a cool label.

And my final go to approach is “ What wine can I give the in laws that will piss them off ?”

So my wine buying practice seems to be , big glob of wax on bottle (buy), cool label (buy), piss off in-laws ( I will take a case).

If the day ever comes I run out of bourbon I may try a glass.

There's nothing like an old wine. By the time I get a case of this to the states it runs about $35 a bottle landed.

I've started to flesh out a wine room in the house we're in. We're renting while we have a house built. Just shelving right now. I'm having a custom console table made for tasting and a matching table for lighting. I'm also having a wall mount rack made for glasses. The pictures are from travels to Italy and Napa with friends.

We went to this winery (their retail front) in downtown Portland last year and were blown away with their cabs. We figured the pinots would be great but the cabs and the chardonnays were very similar to wines we have had in Napa. Of course they were in hard sell of their wine program while we were there.

I think he was referring to how they claim 1 pound of plastic removed from the ocean when you buy that bracelet.

So for anyone in the ST. Tammany area I'm going to let y'all in on a secret.

In Folsom is a discount grocery store, and connected to it is a wine and liquor warehouse. Basically, they get wines and such from stores that close or from insurance write offs. Most of the stuff is cheap crap (yellowtail, barefoot, etc) however I have scored some really good wines.

All wines regardless of original price are ~50 a case, or ~60 a case if you mix and match. Week to week their inventory changes so it's always exciting to see what they have.
