It's close to the house, not crowded, and does the job for a quick slice. I'm not hating on them in any way.
Cheap pizza and beer with unregulated gambling makes for a good night.

Unless you know somebody who has eaten at every single pizza joint in the entire state of Louisiana, this is a retarded question.

Well, I had a friend who took some sort of pizza tour in New York. He told me my pizza was as good as any he had up there. So my answer is:
Learn to make your own pizza and make it how you like it. Takes some practice, but I think anyone can learn if willing to put in the time and effort. A baking steel helps if you are cooking in an indoor oven like I do. I bake at 550 F on a steel. Takes between 4-5 minutes to cook a pizza.

It helps to see names discussed so that when I'm around the state looking for a good pizza I know of some places to possibly go.

I know it's controversial to say "Old Mandeville" for some reason...but, McClain's Pizzeria has a really great crust and some pizza oven I've never seen before. Good stuff, and even better when McClain is spinning the dough.

McClain’s is 1b for me.
Pizza Man is 1a.
The oven in Pizza man is the same oven they moved from the old Pizza Palace from Houma. The little kid who used the run the pepperoni slicer at pizza palace with his grandfather is the head Chef at the pizza man location. Another trivia about pizza man is the old jukebox is the same one from Pizza Palace.

I see we’ve got a big Neapolitan style guy on the board. Dave Portnoy would punch you in the mouth

Outside of New York, I don’t think you can truly replicate it. Apparently, it’s the New York water that makes it what it is, but if you are ever in Slidell, Olde Town Pizza makes a solid “New York style” slice. I prefer it to Pizza Delicious.

That’s my reaction when local magazines have “Best of” awards. They have awards for everything from best urologist to best bankruptcy attorney. Maybe there are people who say, I’ve tried most in the city, and this guy is definitely the best.

I really like that place, but I mentioned it a couple weeks ago and was downvoted to hell. The key is ordering a fresh whole pie straight from the oven.
