Popeyes was still making their own onion rings going into this century and, yes, they were fantastic.

Not BR, not surrounding area(necessarily), but Hub City Diner in Lafayette has hands down the best I've eaten...

Two faves: Po Boy Express in BR, and Shack 16 up above Watson. Shack is adding new dishes all the time. Their meat egg rolls sell out early like Texas brisket on Saturdays!!

chiasson's po-boy here in thibodaux, best onion rings i ever had, i eat the whole order before i touch my fish or shrimp, absolutely delicious
