Agree that it's not even close for me.

Huevos Rancheros is an overlooked item on most "Americanized" Mexican restaurant menus and usually a solid order... depending on the skill of the griddle man.

At home, Migas is one of my go to quick meals. Love it.

La Mexicana on Montrose is my go to...literally tastes likes my grandmother or mom is back there cooking.

Probably because it's nothing but a bunch of abuelas back there cooking.

They are opening another outpost at the Stomping Grounds off of 34th soonish.

Something more upscale...Urbe for weekend brunch.

I might do that this weekend. Living nearly next to pit room and having easy access to breakfast tacos has made me lazy.

English breakfasts are good, but Mexican breakfasts are better...migas, huevos rancheros, chilaquiles...good stuff. This baked egg casserole by Pati Jinich is really good...

When I think of great foods, English cooking is WAY down the list of culinary excellence.

I'm not a huge fan of Mexican food, but in this instance, it's Mexican all the way.

I noted chilaquiles. A great Mexican dish at any time.

Not sure if it’s the best but Thailand got some good ones. I could spend 2 months eating different varieties of sticky rice. And they are the best at making it. Their donuts are amazing, omelette and rice, grilled meat, khao Tom, roti canai. I need to make a trip back.
