I find when I eat something sweet then the whiskey tastes funky to me. The sugar tricks my tongue into not tasting the natural sweetness in the whiskey anymore. Am I the only one who notices this?
I see you knocking down some 4R with Swedish fish, and others drinking with king cake. Curious how alone I am in this regard.

Depends on the sweet really. Cinnamon candies go with certain profiles. Hell, I had some gummy worms that tasted good with BT.

Whiskey and sweets go together like PB&J.

Whiskey and buttered popcorn is a bi weekly occurrence in my home

This I can see being a good pairing. The salt and oils from the popcorn would enhance the natural sweetness of the whiskey

I like whiskey and good cheese together.

What’s the going rate for this Weller? Store I bought it at was selling it for $22. I was thinking it was a ~ $40 bottle of whiskey. Am I wrong?

Someone yesterday was selling two handles of it for $65 a pop. Secondary on the 750mL is anywhere from 35-50 from what I usually see, but all depends on if you catch someone that just has to have it
I wouldn't pay more than retail for WSR personally, but it's fine at a sub $30 price point.

Mouth the local bourbon society just got a barrel of New Riff. Pretty sure it’s the 3rd or 4th one from them. Can’t wait to try it.
