After missing out on some bardstown disco #13 in BR, was able to snag some up in Shreveport. Excited to crack this bottle open when I get back in town

Passed on an EH Taylor BP for $109.99 though. Still might go back and buy it

My dad was telling me he would buy Pappy and GT Stagg for like $25-35 back in the day and they were shelf turds.

I don’t have stories like that, but I do recall seeing cases of Rockhill Farm and Elmer T Lee on the shelf for $46 and $38 respectively.

My FIL and I would drink Blanton’s weekly for $46, and if we wanted to cheap out, we’d get Eagle Rare for $29. Occasionally I’d grab a Rockhill or Elmer, but my go-tos were the other 2. This was before I was really into whiskey. Around 2010.

Anyway, FPD

Very good bottle.

In that review, it's curious that the author referred to whiskey being from Georgia that is "NOT from 13th colony". Not sure why he/she would reference it that way since 13th colony gets their whiskey from MGP.

If you like cigars... Havana Club did a limited RUM edition in honor of the Founder Facundo Bacardi... EXQUISITO, blended to go w cigars.
They are a little proud but it is good. Bought one when it cane out at $135.
We did the cigars for the intro party in Dallas.

I think 13th colony has more than one source, but also I think the Georgia source is a mystery.
