There is a liquor store in Knoxville and if they are suspicious or know you are a reseller they will tell you they are going to break the seal on the bottle and are you okay with that. They assume everyone who is legit will say sure no problem but a flipper may decide they do not want to buy the bottle.

I live in OH and it is a pretty big problem here. Like most places it didn’t get bad until around 2016-17. Now people post on reddit what is coming out each week. Most big stores do the allocated stuff on Sat morning, people will basically camp out to get a spot in line. It is really because the state controls liquor sales here, so it’s all MSRP no mark up. If you are a flipper the margins are worth it. The bad one is the state bottle lottery for BTAC, it will have hundreds of thousands of entries, people,hoping they win one only to sell it.
