Review from Sunday Football watching taste test.

Calandros 12yo 2015 Knob Creek (9): It is really freaken good. Excellent flavor, wonderful complex finish. Buy some today. Really. Do it. Do it now!!
Eagle Rare (7.5): A little bit sweet, not quite a flavorful as the KC12. Overall an excellent choice.
Knob Creek (Louisiana) Edition (5.5): A little rough on the finish. Not nearly as robust as the KC12. I personally prefer the sweetness of the ER rather than a little bit more bitter notes in the KC.
Elijah Craig 12 (5.5): Basically similar commentary as the KC/LA. Therefore the tie.
Basil Hayden (4): Lacking much of the flavor of the others. Almost no finish at all. Basically, not a whole lot there.
Calandros KC 2014: (3): I was very!!! surprised by difference between the KC2014 and the KC2015. They are substantially different IMHO. Finish was rough, almost unpleasant. Not nearly the flavor or complexity as the KC12.

When y'all send bottles each other's way, what is the best way to package it to ensure it doesn't break. Also, who do you use to ship it? Thanks!

Lots of bubble wrap and peanuts. FedEx

I picked up a 200' roll of bubble wrap at office max for $20. That'll last a while. I got the peanuts on eBay n

Bubble wrap and peanuts certainly work especially if you double box. But I have found that just buying a bottle shipper works better. Yes you may spend more on a bottle shipper than buying bubble wrap and popcorn in bulk but the shipping cost is significantly less with a bottle shipper so you save on the actual shipping cost which will offset the extra amount spent not to mention it is much easier to pack. You can get bottle shippers for $6 or $7 that hold 1-3 bottles. Only thing is bottle shippers only work on standard size bottle. I have not seen any that will fit those Knob Creek bottles. I use UPS when I ship.
