Yeah man I'm like Ole Hank Jr. I like my whiskey on ice and my women on fire.

At this juncture I've absolutely had better, but we all indulge in nostalgia, I think.

Nostalgic. Good word. That's what Miller High Life is for me. It's the beer that my Dad let me take sips of when I was a kid. The beer I bought in HS and College because it was fairly cheap. The beer I still go to today because I enjoy it and it reminds me of a simpler time.

Is it weird that I like JW Blue? I got a bottle for graduation several years ago. I think it's delicious. I know there is much better stuff out there and I'm also not a scotch guy but I still like it. I probably wouldn't pay the price for it though, I feel like you could get some sweet single malts for that price. I dunno.

It's funny that you say that. I am not a fan of the entire JW line. It has a bitter unpleasant taste to me. JW Blue has the flavor of a $70 bottle of scotch that has been marketed up to $200 (or whatever). The depth of flavor is inferior vs most of the 15yo single malts and would get it's butt kicked vs most of the 18yo.

With that said... IT'S FREAKEN JOHNNIE WALKER BLUE!!! AND I AM SO BALLER WHEN I DRINK IT!!!

Has anyone tried the Buffalo Trace Experimental Collection 15 year old dry stave bottles? They run about $54 for a 375 but I wouldn't mind paying that if the juice is good.

Today's lunchtime haul. The Piggly Wiggly has a decent inventory but I really can't wait to see what they have in a few months.

Jflsu is driving 95mph through BR looking for sweet wheat as we speak. Take caution and wear those seat belts.
