I do live in New Orleans but I am in TX for a few days so I stopped by the Specs store downtown when I was in the area. Gotta love how they can get new releases months before we do.

Has anyone tried the Buffalo Trace Experimental Collection 15 year old dry stave bottles? They run about $54 for a 375 but I wouldn't mind paying that if the juice is good.

The standard or extended stave dry?

I had both, I felt the standard was better than the extended, alas the extended seems to be easier to get.

There are theories that the extended stave was the same juice that ended up in Cured Oak, though if it was, those 2 years definitely had an impact.

Neither to me are $108 bottles though for what it's worth.

Mississippi has had it for a long time also.

I love it for that price point. If it's a standard release it'll become as ubiquitous to my daily drinker shelf as ER10 and EC12.

Thanks Sisyphus! I'm looking at a 6 month and an 11 month. I'm not sure if that is extended or standard.
