Probably the best rye that I've had right there.

I'm a big fan that of WSR as well, enjoy.

That SAOS is only behind VWFRR and Saz18 for my favorite rye.

How's that Elliot's Select, Uncle Jack? I have one at 50.3. It's delicious.

I love it. I'd like to find one of the higher proof barrels to compare.

The highest one I've seen (online, not in the wild) was 59.something.

Just curious where bookers falls on that list for you (or anyone else who has had the good stuff). I was lucky enough to get a bottle but don't have much to compare it to

What's the deal with RHF? Why doesn't BT list it on their website?

I don't know why it isn't listed on the website but I sent Buffalo Trace an e-mail and they stated that RHF is now a once per year release and the most recent release was April 2016.

Kind of hard to compare Booker's Rye with those since the Booker's is Barrel Proof and the VWFRR and Saz 18 are not. Thomas Handy is a barrel proof rye that Booker's Rye blows out of the water. But the Handy is much younger than Booker's Rye. What makes Booker's Rye so unique is the combination of proof and age that you rarely see in a Rye. Plus the fact that it is some of the last stuff that Booker Noe laid down. I would rate them as follows:

VWFRR>>Booker's Rye>Sazerac 18>>>SAOS>>>>Thomas Handy

I understand it can be an apples to oranges comparison even amongst ryes and that everybody's palate is different, but I appreciate you ranking them for me.

Definitely a bottle I'm going to keep and enjoy. My only real concern is thinking that this could potentially set the bar so high that everything else falls short by comparison, and because it was a one time run I'll likely only ever get my hands on the one bottle. I guess I just want to build up to it first so I can really appreciate it

Anyone in or around BR have any extra Weller 12 laying around? I picked up the latest Elijah Craig Barrel Proof yesterday and would be willing to trade 1:1 for a bottle of Weller 12. E-mail me at jflsufan@gmail.com if interested.

I got it at Martin's. They said someone had it sent there from one of the NOLA locations a while back and never picked it up.
