Anyone tried the new Brown Forman Coopers Craft? Haven't seen it available yet but I know it was released last week.

Bham, thank you. It is excellent!

I bought a bottle. My local store owner was showing it to me and I figured at $30 it was a good way to continue being in his good graces. I've only tried it once, but it was ok. Maybe a bit thin due to the low proof. I'll probably have a couple more pours of it this weekend.

Cool.......I imagine it to be fairly sweet with a hint of oak. Probably not complex by any means but might not be a bad alternative to Woodford or similar bourbons. But I usually like everything I drink. Only two I won't buy again are Hudson baby bourbon and Larceny.

The official SMS first annual bourbon bracket has concluded. I will be providing the results over the next few days/week.
Let me remind everyone of the rules:
Each selection had to be bourbon <$100 aftermarket
Each selection was given a number ahead of the bracket. All I was given by Mrs. SMS was the 2 numbers that were competing. I didn't receive the names until the end.
Games were played head-to-head with the scoring below.
Taste: The intensity of the taste. 40 pts possible
Finish: The quality of the finish. 30 pts possible
Complexity: How complex was the flavor: 20 pts possible
Nose: Different aromas. 10 pts possible.
ETL: 68
Jefferson Colab: 67
This one was really close. I actually asked Mrs. SMS to add more to each glass to make a final decision.
1792 Port Finish:64
Ena B:56 (This was surprising. It was 69 in round 1.)
4R Small Batch - 76 (This was really good. Something interesting happens in the next round.)
1792 Sweet Wheat - 68
Jefferson Ocean: 62
Buillet 10: 58

Pretty much. Nothing offensive by any means just not something I'd run out to replace. Can drink it straight but there is a decent chance that I use a good bit of it for cocktails.
Our tastes might align fairly well. I 100% agree about Hudson Baby Bourbon and Larceny.

Put me in this group as well. Absolutely hated my first pour of the Hudson. Will probably give it a second chance just because, but I'm really not expecting it to be any better

My buddy set up a blind taste test with baby bourbon as one of the five. As soon as I tasted it I said "fricking baby bourbon"

Glad to see my budget horse is still in the race!
Looking forward to the finals.

A couple days ago I had those two samples that I got from you. They were both ridiculously good. I've only had the one pour but the 2012 version of Weller might be the best expression of it that I've had.
