FPD: had my first ever Old Fritz 15 BiB at Ruffino’s. $25 for one ounce but she way over poured, at least 2 oz. I actually poured some out to the guy sitting next to me because I was driving.

Great pour, only thing better than that is the single barrel

Maypop has a decent selection. Started with a WLW and ended with a Handy then Stagg. Wasn’t cheap though.

I knew I wasn’t crazy. I bought another bottle (#27) and it’s 94 proof. So apparently my bottle #6 is a rogue bottle. It is 125-130 BP
Here is the weight test of the 94 proof bottle

How can that happen in real life?

Only reliable way without buying an expensive device would be to know the OG from the mash and test the FG of the product with a hydrometer.
AT needs to send a formal letter to Elijah Craig about this. Or try to trade the open bottle on a secondary market.

I’ve actually put it up for trade on BSoBR. Asking for an ER store pick or Weller store pick

No offense, still not buying it. There is no way they mix it bottle by bottle. They mix the whole barrel as a batch then fill bottles until it’s gone. That one bottle would have had to wonder off the assembly line and somehow got filled with a different product. I just don’t see how it’s possible.
How did you measure out your samples.
How many times did you test them. Empty and re fill the glass and see if you get the exact same results over and over again.
I have been know to be wrong before. I just don’t see how it could happened to one bottle.
Call EC and talk to them about there bottling process and see. I would not try to involve atc.

I wouldn’t believe it if I didn’t see it myself, and had a friend try it, he agrees with me.
You are welcome to stop at my house anytime and try it. I live 30 seconds off I-10 in Dutchtown.
I will bring it to a BSoBR meet up because David is interested in trying it.

Try ordering one of those (cheaper) or a local fish store might have one. It’s for measuring salinity in a fish tank but if they are different proofs it should float at different levels but I don’t know if it would be different enough to see since it’s calibrated for water dunno:
Could test a known barrel proof of another bottle and see

No good in keeping this public and getting the retail exposed Not their fault.

I’m interested to see
If it is high it’s not there fault. And there’s no need to make it a issue for anyone.

There is no reason why this shouldn't be public. This is a message board about real life. The retailer has no control if the product they bought is something different. Now, I don't believe the proof on the hydrometer will show more than the 94. So, please, we need to report what's found from the reading. Remember, once a product leaves a store, it can be manipulated. What AT claims to have, can be denied that is what the store sold him.

Who here is tired of buying every bottle you come across?
I decided after this past bourbon season that I’m tired of chasing unicorns, buying everything, etc.
I’ve decided to stick to sub-$40 bourbons, mainly store picks. My favorite bourbon I picked up this year was a $19 bottle of Buffalo Trace store pick, a $30 ER10 store pick was my second favorite.
There is only one bourbon over $40 that I will buy, it’s EHT single barrel.
Now don't get get me wrong, I will still go to raffles, try to win some antique collections or Pappy, but no more dropping money on the next bottle I come across.

I don’t blame you for not chasing bottles, but there’s a lot of good shelfies in the $40-75 range that you might miss out in setting your price at $40
