Is that an export? How is it compared to regular 101?

Yes, it is a Japan release. I really like it. It is an oakier, more refined Wild Turkey, which imho is a good thing.

I wish it was 101 proof but its 91.

I visited Olive or Twist tonight for a nip. Their selection is hand over fist better than Lock & Key at the current time. I also has a '15 Birthday Bourbon and it was a very nice pour...

Wtf why do distilleries send awesome shite overseas? Send them the regular shite rebranded to make it seem more fancy and keep the good stuff in the states.

Christmas came early this year thanks to TA playing Santa. Thanks again and I can't wait to open these up this weekend

So I am headed to DC this weekend/next week and will try to visit Jack Rose while I am there. What do I need to put on my "must try" list? EHT sour mash/tornado? Old BTAC releases? I'm taking recommendations from the experts

Old Willet releases are what I would go for. Mix in a couple of the older Four Roses LE's and BTAC's. I would skip the EHT sour mash. I'm sure they are charging a ton for it and it is good but the prices I've seen for it recently are absurd. I have it and I honestly would be disappointed if I spent a ton on a pour of it.

Jack Rose is by far the best bar I've ever been to. I'm legitimately jealous.

Possibly, but I don't really have an "in search list" right now. It obviously all depends on what is offered. Fill level is a little below half.

Id love to at least try that sour mash either from you or whoever trades for it...never had that one. I really like the sourmash michters. Or maybe trade something for it if TA doesnt.

TA SMS yall ever had Ardbeg 10? I have never tried that brand yet...only Islay I cant stand so far is the Lap line.

I would try any of the older stuff you felt like paying far...EHT, willets, btacs, JPS 18/17 if they have it.
