Happy ntl bourbon day indeed. Went to local store for plate lunch to take to work and I found this in a myriad of crown royal bottles. 6 years old.

In recognition of national bourbon day, a sip for me and the woman... OBSV for her, Stagg for me

It's a Weller kind of night.
TA is trying to convert me to scotch, and on Bourbon Day. Shame.
Thanks again for the samples.

I didn't get to enjoy the Bourbon society meeting but I caught the back end and got to talk to the guys that work hard to provide us with these meetings. Big appreciation for such a cool event on national bourbon day. The cove/port royal barrel pick of Woodford was available for purchase along with etching and a bunch of raffle and trivia all day long. Big big appreciation.

It's a big rye..a splash of water will help me get my head around it. I like it so far.

I haven't opened mine yet. They say that it is much better after opening up a little. I was wondering how you would compare the Booker's Rye to Thomas Handy?

Pretty sure it isn't $300 good

I'll stick to my lowly Thomas Handy for premium rye

At retail you could have your thh, plus 3 other btacs. That is pretty absurd pricing for a bottle of anything.

Every year the retailers are going up on BTAC. Yes the MSRP remains $70 or $90 but some places were charging $120 and $150 in BR last year.

I agree. I've paid well over retail for mine at the store, but I have also seen plenty of people get it from other stores for Msrp.

true... i paid anywhere from $70 to $150 just like you said
regardless, $150 is always better than $300

All I meant was at least you have a chance of 80 vs starting out with best case of 299.99
