That’s a hell of a trade. I wish I didn’t open mine, or I would have traded

Lemme know if you come to Lafayette, I’d like some of that OWA107 and ELT.

I think it’s pretty standard? Seems like fair trades.

What’s the best way to know what a good price is for a certain bottle for a noob?

Seems like some bottles are super rare and more expensive in some areas and are MSRP in others?

Just look up what the suggested MSRP at the stores in your area I guess?

You have to just ask and gain experience. I would say that some stores are known for jacking up prices and others do not. Easier to keep track of the expensive stores than the prices of individual bottles at first

That’s a good start. Google the msrp. Or go to dorignacs, and divide their price in half. Ha.

Thanks. A lot to learn.

Also what is the hard to get EH Taylor bottle, barrel proof or small batch?

Besides the limited releases, barrel is the hardest, then single barrel, I guess would be next rye, them small batch.

I have not seen barrel proof on the shelves in years, I saw all the others multiple times last year

I’m a big fan of EHT single barrel. I need to seek out another bottle soon

The ETL is spoken for but I may be going hunting in Ville Platte next weekend. Maybe we can meet up on my way back to BR next Sunday.

What’s the value of an empty BT barrel? I found one for $300. It’s hasnt been re-finished.

I would like to make this

Breweries in Houston will typically sell them after they've used them for $75-100. Probably similar elsewhere. I'd only consider spending $300 if it was already finished and built like in that pic.

I am not a big do it yourselfer. I saw this at Marshall's of all places a couple of years ago and I bought it to keep in my office. It's a half barrel. I think I paid $225. It will hold 25-30 bottles. Nice little auxiliary cabinet to keep at work.
