Collins bar? I think I was there that same night with some friends and meeting people from BBC. The WLW and Pappy 15 were excellent.

Collins

Sure was, Friday evening. I was there with a bunch of the BBC guys at the end of the bar. Flipped the GTS, WLW while I was there. I really enjoyed the 15 & 20. Pleasantly surprised by the 23. Who do you know in the BBC?

Looks like Jack Links is using some bourbon marketing tricks.

Nathan, Caz, Shaun, Brad C (met him that night) and met a few guys Friday night. I wonder if we were there at the same time. Haha.

Probably so, I was there from 4-630. I know Nathan, met Shaun that evening and I know Brad well. Small world, do you come to Birmingham often?

I actually live in birmingham - I haven't been able to figure out how to change my profile on here bc it's linked to an old email address.

Yeah, we prob got there around 630 or so. Great bar.

My wife got me a bottle of Angels Envy (rum casks) for our anniversary. I don't spend $98 on a bottle of whiskey, I typically drink Buffalo Trace or Woodbridge and sometimes Wild Turkey 101. But anyone cares to splurge I recommend this Angels Envy. It has a smooth caramel aftertaste from the rum casks. Very nice.

Looks like you married a good one...

Glad you liked it. If you like such things Balvenie has a 14yo rum cask scotch which is also very good.

Life is too short to drink cheap whiskey.

That's the rye whiskey, is it not? I enjoy both the rye and the bourbon.
