Agree w this - stayed at Sugar Beach twice and was supposed to go on Saturday to celebrate our 5yr anniversary. By far one of the best resorts we’ve stayed at. Easy transport to other resorts if you want to explore and eat off site some times.

I did my residency at uab and was single at the time so had a condo in the med district. Was great for convenience to work and going out.
Ended up coming back for work after finishing training in Nola, and we live in homewood. Like the rest have posted, great location for pretty much everything, solid food and bar scene.
I was here from 07-10 then came back in 2013 and honestly this city has grown sig in just the decade or so since I originally left and couldn’t really imagine moving back to La!
Welcome to bham!

Anyone know what sections in the 300s are the LSU sections?
Superdome Seat question
Posted by quadfest on 1/3/20 at 12:15 am
Been awhile since I’ve been to a game in the dome... what’s a better view/sight line - sideline 100s, or 300s? I remember that in the 100s below row 10 not a great view, and too far back, you were under the over hang.
Trying to decide what seats I wanna blow a ton of money on for the game.

Call now and get a spot at Lagasse Stadium Club. Reserve seat, has a sports book in it, has food and booze. We watched the SEC champ game there this year and was great.
I was at Cosmo the Sunday it was released. Opening line was 8.5, within an hour 10.5, then 13.
Agree recently went to Vegas - 4/4 legs delayed. Only leg not delayed is the damn plane that left early from Dallas, was the last flight out to Vegas and the gate knew we were running and still gave away our seats to standby employees that wanted to fly. My buddy was at the gate updating them and they still didn’t care.
Didn’t comp our hotel though they claimed they would (since we didn’t want to use a Motel 8 in Dallas). My buddy gets really pissed about this stuff and has tried to talk to someone and has not been able to get a person on the phone. Just emails.
I already booked a flight in December w them, but that’ll be it. I shoulda stuck w delta - just a pain to get to Dallas and the west coast w delta sometimes.

Was trying to upvote - my bad. Totally agree w Fairhope here.
Cape Town is amazing. Try to get a table at La Colombe - amazing dining experience. Would skip J-berg and try to squeeze safari and 2 nights in stellenbausch (sp?) if you enjoy wine country - stunning views.

re: Paris, Bordeaux and San Sebastián

Did this trip, as part of 2 trips. These are the memorable restaurants we went to. The first 2 weren’t cheap but worth the experience.
1) Paris - arpege
2) Bordeaux - la grande maison
3) San Sebastián - Amelia
Amazing cities, and personally I would retire to San Sebastián. Walk through the streets and eat pintxos, esp anchovies. Enjoy the wine of Bordeaux, there’s a great wine shop downtown that will ship to the states. 2014 is great value in Bordeaux, without the crazy pricing that happened in 2015 and 16.

Awesome itinerary. We are going this weekend for a short Friday-Sunday. Planning on eating at Next and Maple and Ash, seeing Hamilton, cubs game Sunday and grabbing drinks at 3 dots and a dash. Wish we had more time there!
Nice section 27 row 57. Purple shirt

Section 27, row 57
Looks like a great trip. Wish we had done Botswana. Agree w trying to find time for Stellenbosch/frenschhoek (sp?). We did capetown 3 days, wine country 3 days, sabi sabi 3 days, and Victoria falls 2 days. Trip of a lifetime (wife had been sick and I swore I would take her on an amazing trip when better, so went luxe). Your price point is pretty solid (ours was around 9k a piece + flight - did points to fly biz). Have a great time!
re: Friend just asked me to be in his wedding 11/9

My wife’s cousin is getting married on the same day in South Carolina. We live in bham and always go to the LSU-bama game (she’s a bama fan). I was pretty pissed. I finally told her that I’m gonna have to stay for the game.. she wasn’t thrilled but my in-laws were cool w it and actually gave me their tickets. They understood its one of the few times I get to see LSU and close friends from La.

Dante’s kitchen is great and local scene. Also coquette. Love Peche also.
