What's he charging these days?

I will add that Mississippi is the land of 4 Rose's picks and Weller 107. Thank God I figured that out years ago.

These were around $100 each I think

Shhhh, don’t talk about MS. We are still in prohibition and don’t have any whiskey for anyone

Yep... you are correct. Mississippi permits stoning for drinking whiskey.

Who here went to the Harvest supermarket clusterfrick?
I had to work but I’m hearing 150 people showed up for a shite show of bottles (EHT small batch was best thing there), and to get two tickets for the drawing next week, where they are limiting the number of tickets to 150. You would think they would sell as many tickets they could since it’s for charity.

Yep I just saw that as well. I’m pissed as frick. The bottles they had today weren’t worth camping for at 2 AM and they sold out of tickets

I’m not pissed I didn’t get tickets, or bottles (like you said, nothing special today).
I’m pissed on how they treated a regular customer, someone that shops there 3-4 times a week, spending 1000’s of dollars a year there. My wife went there to just get tickets and they told her, “Too bad, should have come earlier!”
I’ve done talked to the lady there. Her argument is they have to limit it to 150 people due to Covid. Ok, that’s fine, but if you have 150 tickets, and you can buy two tickets, that’s only 75 people, so that argument is out the window.
I did apologize for calling her a name in my post above, but I told her that’s how I feel. 90% of the people that were there today will never step foot back into the store. The only reason it was packed today was because last year’s raffle, they did get two or three bottle of Van Winkle (8, 10, & 12 I believe). They did limit tickets last year, and I was able to buy mine nearly a week later.
I told her I will not be back in the store because of the way they treat regular customers.

When it boils down to it, it’s just a whiskey raffle.

No, it’s the way they handle regular customers. I don’t even buy my bourbon from there because she holds it all for Black Friday. I’m not camping out for Eagle Rare and Weller SR.
Clint called me out on FB and messaged me during my FB rant about them, telling me I was wrong. I told him if he had the same thing today and I didn’t get tickets, I would not be pissed, because I don’t shop at his store. Clint takes care of his regular customers, and I can appreciate that.
If they didn’t have Van Winkle bottles in the raffle last year, you could go next week and buy tickets, but since they did, people came out of the woodworks this year and bought all the tickets. I still have no problem with that. It’s just 90% of these people will never step foot back into Harvest again, until the raffle next year.
This is the exact reason Hokus Pokus stopped doing raffles on their allocations. They sell to their regular customers.
What I have a problem with is how they handled a regular customer today. I’m not expecting them to sell me tickets because I didn’t get any. They just need better customer service for regular customers. People that shop there on a daily basis.

Have they wronged you in any way while buying regular groceries? If not, the point is moot.

A regular customer is a regular customer, doesn’t matter what they buy. If they would put out the ER, WSR, etc on a regular basis, like everyone else, I’d buy it there. I’m not mad they hold these back, I can buy it elsewhere, at a cheaper price.

Harvest ran this year’s Black Friday the same as last year. I understand you are a regular customer and so am I. I’m in Harvest multiple times a week. You can not control what other people do unfortunately. Harvest made 0 changes from last year.

It just feels like you had no chance of buying a raffle ticket if you didn’t go to their Black Friday release

Yes they did. Last year they didn’t advertise that they were getting Van Winkles. You could have bought tickets days later, like I did.
They didn’t advertise they have it this year, but made hint of it.
They messed over their regular customers and even told them “Too bad”, by doing this.
I know they are going to say it’s all about the charity, but if that was true, they would sell more tickets or sell 150 tickets at $100 each, not $10 each.
Like I told her, I know nothing will change from my rant, I’ve said my peace (apologized to her) and they lost a regular customer today. I will go to WM neighborhood, Rouse’s, and Ralph’s.
