Moe's BBQ wings are fricking awesome. Get them with their white bbq sauce.

Make them yourself, it's not difficult. Use Frank's hot sauce.

Manchu batters their wings, which is infuriating. If I want straight up fried chicken I am going to Popeyes.
Moe's are good but this thread is talking traditional. Those Moe's wings don't have Buffalo sauce and that white BBQ sauce is not bleu cheese or ranch.

Fat Harry's for buffalo wings, Blue Oak for craft wings.

I'll get skewered for saying this, but I like the Domino's baked wings. They wrap them in foil with the sauce and run them through their oven and hit the spot almost every time, if you aren't looking for the 'fried then tossed in sauce' type.... also their hot buff sauce is pretty vinegary which I dig

It's a guilty pleasure of mine

Or is it those WB roots ?

Little of both. Like SS said, I think it's the sauce that's key

I'm gonna have to disagree. Maybe certain flavors, but their lemon pepper ones are delicious

I like Blue Oak's style the best, but agree that not traditional.
Check out Daisy Duke's Cafe. There's a couple downtown, and one in Metairie. Their wings are pretty good, and have multiple sauces including a Duke's special which is like a mixture of hot buffalo and ranch.
I'll echo some of the other mentions:
Fat Harry's
Bulldog
Lucy's used to have some pretty good wings.

Regarding Bayou Hot Wings suckage...
There is no traditional Buffalo. I do like the Bayou Hot Boy Crystal-based sauce, but it's not buffalo sauce.
90% of why I hated them. They're about an inch and a half long and have barely any meat on them.

TJ Ribs in Baton Rouge, it's arguably the best thing on the menu. On Monday nights, they do AYCE&D wings and beer for like $15. Great option to watch a game.

I tried them a couple times and by the time I get them they have steamed in the foil and the skin is rubbery. I can't stand that. I still expect crispy skin.

That's because they're pre-fried, frozen, then just baked. The chain pizza place wings are horrid.

Traditional Buffalo Wings consists of the Drumette and Flat (Wingette) sections of a whole chicken wing deep fried until very crisp, then tossed in a mixture of 1 stick real butter and 1 cup Frank's Original Hot Sauce.
