This man knows what he is talking about. All solid but Truluck's is not worth the money. Liberty Kitchen, L'etoile are near there, and a short ride away is Arturo Boada, on Voss, all fantastic. If you have OT $$$ and don't have one of the best steaks you've ever had at Pappas Bros Steakhouse, then I want to know where you get your steaks. Also, Peli Peli is very good in that area. It's a little gimmicky/ douchey but there's no denying the food is good...

Danton's Gulf Coast Seafood Company. In the museum district. Best Monday happy hour: dozen oysters $4.95, dozen gulf shrimp $4.95, great BBQ shrimp, gumbos, freshest seafood. A little off the "business" track, but really very good.

Also, look for Pappas Seafood. Smaller than Pappadeaux's, but great seafood selection. Once or twice a year they'll run an all-you-can-eat Lobster night for $42-$45 a person. I took a client, who had flown in from Chicago, to go eat there. I couldn't beleive it! He ate a grand total of eight lobsters! I think two is about it for me.
