What's the first dish you're looking forward to once restaurants open?

Perhaps it's something impractical to make at home, maybe it's your favorite dish in the city. Could be anything as simple as breakfast at Waffle House.

Mine would be a big ol' bowl of pho. Inconvenient to make one bowl at home, and it loses its charm with take out.

Whatcha got?

Agreed.

Mine is just going to a happy hour somewhere - a Friday evening getting off of work and going to place where you can drink hazy IPAs and eat sliders or 1/2 off pizza while you plan out your weekend.

Funny—takeout pho is an almost weekly event at my house, with no loss of goodness. Of course, some places do a better job than others of packing it to-go, and you’ve got to heat the broth to boiling before pouring over the noodles. I also make an awesome pho ga in the pressure cooker.

What I’m craving is quality pizza. Have made a bunch at home during quarantine, but it is always a chore for the cook. Will be nice to sit and just eat it.

When the bar and grill near me opened the weekend before last, I went and had crawfish one day and a burger the next. It was all I needed to make it feel somewhat normal.

Now I think I'm going to plan to go to Vincent's in Metairie for Corn and Crab bisque and a veal dish for my first real sit down meal.

Either than or Mexican.

Rama. Pad Kee Mao, Rama Spicy, and Duck Rama.

If Rama is still closed then Zorba's, whatever is on special.

That particular picture is the seafood tower from Underbelly (RIP), but he has almost the exact platter at Georgia James.

Ask for a side of nam jim to go with the oysters.

Blue store. They've been shut down through the whole covid thing. Not even doing takeout.

This would actually be my first choice, but I wasn't sure if folks here would know what it is. Extra shrimp paste ftw.
