Had a meater and just had to toss it....wouldnt connect anymore and constantly lost connection before that....I searched and found a tread from September on the same issues.
Ditching the wireless for something reliable, wired, and wifi.
TIA

Wanting WifFi is tough for wired probes. Most in this category will be geared towards fan control like Fireboards or BBQGuru. Thermoworks has nice wired probes without WiFi, super reliable.
I have a Fireboard 2, use the hell out of it.

I used ThermoPro. Connects by bluetooth. No problems so far with it after about 4 years.

My son bought me a Thermopro dual probe wired thermometer that has bluetooth on Amazon for around $40. Download the thermopro app on your phone and plug the probes into the transmitter and connect to your phone. It'll reach pretty much anywhere in my house and my pit is around 40 ft from my back door.

I was given the Weber iGrill as a gift years ago, and it's still working just fine. Connects to my phone quickly and I don't lose signal.
Tried a Meater, but had the same problems you did.

Inkbird WiFi Meat Thermometer IBBQ-4T
I have owned quite a few BT and WiFi sensor over the years, and this one beats them all, hands down!

Anything bluetooth is arse. WiFi will probably be bad too unless you have a great WiFi setup.
I got a 4 probe inkbird WiFi thermometer that has worked really well. Had a thermopro bluetooth one prior that was fine, but bluetooth connectivity sucks
Edit: Jmon beat me to the punch with the Inkbird, I have that same one

Thermoworks. Smoke, Signals, SmokeX, etc. Different models depending upon your wants/needs.

Maverick is a good option.

I picked up the four probe model a couple of years ago on clearance at Sam's. I really like it.

I own five thermo-pro products and I've been happy with all of them. 2 meat thermometers. A fryer thermometer. A timer and a 4 probe Bluetooth thermometer set up.

I know you're asking for wired, but thought I'd throw this out there anyways. Works way better than my meater. I haven't had any of the issues with it that I had with my meater.

I've tried a lot of options over the years, but Thermoworks Smoke is the most reliable and accurate device I've ever tried.
