Most of my life, its been Xmas Eve with my mom's side of the extended family and a huge seafood gumbo. We pushed that event to this Saturday.
So, tonight we are doing crepes after church.
I'm doing a German feast tomorrow: wiener schnitzel, German sausage (shipped in from W. Texas), sauer kraut, warm potato salad (dill/vinegar/bacon), pickled beets.
I don't have a whole lot of German lineage, it's just something different to do.

A dozen different app size dishes at the in-laws with the entire famn damily.
We brought sausage stuffed dates wrapped in bacon and croc-pot meatballs taken up a notch.

and some rice dressing
and some greenbean casserole
and some beans with sausage
and some carrot souffle
and some pralines
and some German chocolate cake
That's all I can confirm at this point.
ETA: Oh yeah. Fresh baked bread. Forgot the bread.
