i am going to smoke a pork loin. I actually have decided I prefer a pork loin over a boston butt when smoking a pork product. I may smoke a brisket instead though.

This was PL i did last month and it was my best one. Pulled at 145

Same here. May opt for drumsticks for ease of eating in front of the TV.

Also, jalapeno poppers, baked potato skins and probably an assortment of dips.

We hosted a LSU-Oklahoma party and an LSU-Clemson party. Plus we've got a Mardi Gras ball Saturday night. So it's just going to be me and the Missus for the Super Bowl. We decided last night to just do wings and nachos.

Part of me wants to grill, but another part of me wants to be lazy and throw some wings in the air fryer. After this week, I might lean towards lazy and just drink.

Temp Sunday is supposed to be @ 70 so gumbo is out, school on Monday and game time at 5:30 so everyone with kids would like to eat before the game and just pick on leftovers during game up to halftime when most of the people will go home, me just wanting to relax this year and not get to complicated with the food, so, everyone is going to bring a dish from the following list and we are just going to eat and enjoy -

Chips and Queso - with Rotel, and Mild for kids
Cheese Quesadillas
Fresh Green Salad - Ranch/Blue Cheese dressing
Chicken Enchiladas
Charro Beans in a Crock Pot
Tamales
Mexican Red Rice
Tacos with seasoned ground meat, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, sauce, onion

Iced Tea, Beer, and drinks for kids
Paper Plates, plastic utensils and cups

No one in the group is that excited about the game so we will have more time to just talk and enjoy time together -

Burgers, spiral dogs, buffalo chicken dip, guacamole, and of course Budweiser for the pops and white cans for me and everyone else.

Thought I'd throw in a six pack of Corona just as a gag...

Wut? I eat gumbo is the summer. There's this neat thing called AC. You should try it.

ETA: Probably doing burgers on the grill and fried wings.

LOL, AC, yeah I know, but I also have a thing called a fireplace and that's what I really want to try out and enjoy while I eat several big bowls of steaming hot gumbo and rice!
