That is a bigger difference than you would think.

I’m thinking about tossing the green egg and getting a Komodo Kamado.

I'm jealous of the 26". Like I said, I wish they made a 26" Performer.

Here is the side by side of the 26 and 22 versions. It's significant.

I was torn between getting a new Performer (the old one is 18 years old) or the 26" Glen Blue kettle. If Weber made a 26" Performer, I would have bought it without a doubt.

You think the 4" is worth doubling the price? I'd have a hard time pulling that trigger.

The 26” has mastertouch features. So, it’s not just a size increase over a regular kettle. Also, I believe the 26” grill grate is a higher quality steel, whereas the grate used in the 22” will need to be replaced over time.

The only difference is having the special grate system included right?

The rubberized damper handle and the lid catch are quite useful additions not included with the regular kettle.

Either way, a kettle is awesome, and they are all relatively inexpensive whether choosing the 22”, 26” or a performer.

Thermoworks has a sale going on. It's 20 percent off one item. I'll probably pick up the smoke thermometer setup.

I need someone to build me a side smoker box for my pit, but haven't found any takers. Think it might be too small of a job.

No longer have the facilities to build it myself.

I watched a YouTube channel with someone doing the 26” to 22” kettle comparison on a patio that looked like the one in the pic.

Is that your channel?

Going to take a leap of faith, even with the proprietary fuel I’m going to get it a try.

I have had my recteq 590 for a couple of months now, have fired anything else up. I was hesitant at first, did a lot of research, probably one of the best rigs I have owned.

I like recteq's but I want something that I can put a rotisserie in it. Recteq's are not tall enough.

No. I don't have a channel. I just pulled up that picture on a web search. It probably came from someone's video.

Yoder or another Primo XL. The large BGE that is coming with the new house is not awe inspiring.
