re: Toyota dealership not allowing orders.

The largest dealers will get the most allocations. Call Cavender, Fred Hass World, Sterling, Cedar Park, Boerne, North Park. Call and get on a waiting list!
In 2023 The US bought 235,000 Tacomas. A little over 3,000 were manual.
We don't get them because no one actually wants them.
The new Tacoma will have more trim levels available with a manual, so we should see a few around the Gulf States area.

It's not region specific. Toyota, as an entity, doesn't not allow Special Orders, period.

Those are "port installed options", and yes those can be specified by the dealer.
I work for Gulf States Toyota, who distributes the Toyotas to all of the dealers in our region.
This is the correct answer. You cannot Special Order a Toyota, regardless of what any dealer will tell you.

Bourgeois
- Smoked Sausage
- Beef Jerky
- Turkey Head Cheese
- Tasso
- Boudin Burrito
- Summer Sausage w/ Jalapeno
- White Boudin
- Blood (Red) Boudin - One of the few places left offering
- Crawfish Boudin
I am not a fan of their Andouille and have found it overpowers nearly any dish I've put it in.

re: Track saw recs?

I'm super happy with my corded Makita and Powertec track guides.
My logic behind choosing corded over battery is that 100% of the time I'm going to have the saw attached to a vacuum hose, so the battery feature isn't really giving me the same benefit as it does on a regular power tool that wouldn't be connected to a vacuum.
The Powertec tracks have been great. I have the 110".
I also purchase a 4x8 sheet of 2" Foam Board. I cut it down it into 4-2x4' pieces and attached 2 of pieces together along the 4' side with duct tape. I then repeated this with the remaining two sides. This allows me to have a great surface to use the saw on, and be able to shrink the board down and store it on top of cabinets.

I also use a Bora 4x8 Work Stand when I'm using my track saw, but this isn't necessary, just convenient.

I have a Rachio 3 for my sprinkler system and the Rachio bib timer for my vegetable garden drip system. Both work great through the Rachio app.
There have been entirely too many reports of this happening for it to be a non-issue.
The most recent example, with video to-boot, occured in a police station last week.

Pistol has been verified to be a P320 in a Safariland holster designed for the P320.
The department has issued a statement claiming they are replacing all issued Sig Pistols with Glocks after this event.

re: Men of the OT, how much would it take to move?

Completely agree.
I left Louisiana after living there for 40 years and moved to Texas for a similar salary but more upward potential.
You'd have to offer me $75-100k more than I'm currently making to have me even entertain the idea of moving back to LA. And honestly, even that doesn't seem appealing to me.

re: What's the worst divorce horror story that you've witnessed ?

This happened down in Lafourche about 15 years ago.
Probably the most f-ed up post-divorce thing I've heard about.
On August 20, 2007, Amy Hebert fatally stabbed her children and the family dog; Camille was aged 9 and Braxton was aged 7. Hebert told a psychiatrist that Camille had begged for her life.[11] The children had defensive wounds to their hands and arms;[12] Camille had about 30–35 stab wounds to the front of her torso while Braxton had about 50-55 stab wounds to his torso, with about 30 to the front and 20–25 to the back.[11] All of Camille's vital organs had been hit, and both victims had been stabbed in the heart.[12] Camille was also stabbed on her scalp about 30 times;[11] the blade did not penetrate her skull.[12] Amy Hebert also stabbed herself about 30 times, giving herself wounds in the abdomen, chest, neck, and wrists.

Having stayed at Hotels nearby the Houston Medical Center before for business, that is where they stay. Hotels, AirBNB, etc. Unsure if Insurance would cover it, but there were a tremendous amount of patients in the hotels while I was there.

Would've been a damn shame to have missed Crockett because of this. All of his albums are stellar.
I live in the area. If I were making that trip and wanted to stop for lunch somewhere only a few minutes off the beaten path, 10 out of 10 times I'd choose Country Tavern in Kilgore. Best Ribs in East Texas. Potato Casserole is one of the best sides i've had at any BBQ joint. Personally I'd get, Ribs, Sausage, Potato Casserole and Spicy Mac.
Brisket Love in Lindale is good, Stanleys in Tyler is good.
Most of the decent restaurants on that strip are quite a ways off I-20 in Tyler or Longview.

As someone who wears a sport coat or suit nearly everyday, Uniqlo Airism undershirts are the absolute GOAT. I have 10 of the v-Neck grey's to make sure I'm never without one.

This hasn't been the case for a while now. Modern 3/4t trucks can carry 3-4,000LBS+ in their beds.
That's a mid-level XSE package. Also, the black wheels are only available on the FWD version. If you go to AWD, you get the 18" wheels from the Limited.
