Roux sandwich thread got me thinking, what have you slapped between 2 slices of bread that normally wouldn't be considered "sandwich norm"?
(Evangeline Maid bread is my choice bread for all of these)
Slice of bread with potato salad
Slice of bread with rice dressing
Slice of bread with speghetti
Jack Millers Bar B Q sauce sandwich
Slice of bread with a boudin link
Slice of bread with rice that's been soaked in gumbo

Reverse seared chicken noodle soup, bread toasted in microwave.

Actually, hog head cheese sandwich is a favorite.

Was very stoned one time and made a meatloaf/mac n cheese/crunchy Cheetos sandwich but used two grilled cheese sandwiches as the bread slices.

I realize this isn't incredibly original, but one of my favorites is to take some french bread, toast it, and fill it with Thanksgiving leftovers. I'm talking turkey, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, gravy...the works.

God I can't wait for Thanksgiving.

This times a million!

Nothing better than stuffing all that in some rolls!

I agree, but there is really no other way to eat this combo, so I don't think it works for this thread.

I used to do spaghetti sandwiches all the time.

And I've been known to put some pickle, mustard and hot sauce between two pieces of white bread and consume that.

I love a good boudin sandwhich/poboy.

Never really considered it odd.

You put some cool ranch Doritos on that bad boy and you have a regular white trash delicacy.
