In no particular order, just depending what I’m in the mood for:
1) Cuban
2) Club
3) French Dip made messy- loaded with lettuce, tomato, pickle and garlic Mayo- Fat Tuesday’s in Bossier makes an outstanding messy French Dip.

I'm with Darla, can't pick 1. How about 5.
1: There was a place in Charleston (not downtown, not in any tourist areas) 20 years ago that had fried softshell crab sandwiches when in season. White bread burger bun, not fancy. Whole fried softshell. Lettuce and tomato. Light tar tar. Add plenty of LA hotsauce.
2: Fried oyster po boys are also ridiculous.
3: Athens restaurant Cali n Tito's Cuban Especial. It's not your typical cuban sandwich, it's better. It's insane. It's ridiculous. It's on my list of any reco's when visiting fans are looking for advice on SECRant.
4: Tomato sandwich as described above but not toasted. Just white bread, fresh sliced tomato, mayo, salt, pepper. Best with tomato right out of the garden with the smell of nightshade still on your hands.
5: Tuna melt. Tuna salad= chunk light tuna in water, salt pepper lemon squeeze, mayo. Cheddar cheese on the white bread, liberally buttered frying pan, toast to golden brown on both sides like a grilled cheese, slice diagonally, served with pickle spear and some ruffles.
Honorable mention-
Augusta National egg salad sandwich.

Maybe not in this order - Cuban, Ruben, Pastrami on Rye, BLT, Peanut butter with raisins, Ham with cheddar cheese on toasted sourdough.

I know that sandwich, baw. Harry's Perfect Pastrami from my favorite sandwich shop, Little Deli. Their reuben is killer, and their Roast Beef and Cheddar on Kaiser Roll is the tits! frick, every sandwich I've had there has been on point...except their muff... it is lacking. It's not bad, but it's not the best.

OK…this is thread worthy…if you ever have time…please.
It's pretty much the regular muff filling, the difference is I bake the bread with a few kalamata olives for effect. I don't know of any place in BR that you can buy a muff round. I also do minis for party trays.

I love all sandwiches, but there is none better than a well made Reuben.
For the northshore folks, Coffee Rani has a shockingly good Reuben. We get catering from them often and the Reubens disappear very quickly.

My favorite is the Cubano!

All of them.
I’ve never met a sandwich type I didn’t like, but have had some bad sandwiches.
Favorite at the moment is a classic BLT with thick cut bacon and a good dose of mayo on lightly toasted white bread.

Cold, thick cut bologna with tomatoes and onions, the type of onion makes no difference. No mayo, mustard, ketchup, or anything else. Just bologna with tomatoes and onions on Bunny Bread.
