Looks delicious. Such a guilty pleasure, I'm not ashamed to admit it.

We fry it as well with mustard. Kids love it. FIL will cut it a bit thicker and grill it. Not too bad either.

I've never had spam and that's not by accident. Never liked the thought of it, but that looks pretty good what you have there.

I can't say that about many things. I try not to keep lists of the things I have chosen to miss out on in my life. Just documents my shortcomings. I do have a list of things I was only willing to try once, but that list is short and my memory fades these days, so there may be a chance for second time attempts on even some of those.

I couldn't believe my eyes when we stopped in at a McD's in Hawaii and Spam was on the menu (in their Big Breakfast etc). That was before I knew that it was a big deal over there.

Yes it is!

I think their fondness for it came during WWII.

In case it's not obvious, I'm a two or three times a year fan, too. Usually limited to the sandwich I showed, but I did make Spam Salad (like Tuna Salad) once or twice and it had merits.

This brought me back to my childhood. Is that mustard, or drizzled cheese?
