What is the OT position on beer

I had to drink a few Bud Lights at a friend's house today. Not horrible, but tasteless. What is the attraction to light beer? It simply does not taste very good, and it takes a ton of them just to get a buzz.
I have seen people called beer snobs on here, so I am genuinely interested. Beer needs to taste good. I still believe after 30 years of beer drinking that Sam Adams Boston Lager is the shite. If I am looking to get ripped, I go with liquor.

I down beer if I'm looking to get ripped for just a little while. I down liquor if I'm looking to get ripped for an entire night. Taste doesn't mean much.

I don't really like the taste of beer. And I've drunk a lot of it, and a large variety. It's just not good to me.
I only drink it to be social or get drunk. Same with liquor.

I love good Stouts and Porters, but they're impossible to drink when trying to lose weight.

light beers are good when outside in the heat and you won't want to drink something heavy (i.e. mowing grass, etc.)...save the beers with more character for times when you can sit back and enjoy them...

I started drinking light beer in my late twenties and have continued into my 30's. If I am out with friends or at a nice restaurant I drink craft beer.
At this point in my life, drinking light beer is like chewing gum - it's just something to do and I can do it often without being a (complete) fat arse/drunk arse.

Actually, I don't like dark beers. Like the medium amber ones. Sam Adams is extremely hoppy, but no sweet nasty aftertaste. It's good.

You can buy good beer with double the alc content (or more) for less than double the price of bud.
Light beer after mowing the lawn? There are plenty of good options that aren't bud

I've scaled back on beer. Every time I drink one or two, I get terrible migraines. I read that if that's the casd, it's the yeast thay can trigger migraines while drinking Beer.
