I grew Carolina Reapers, Ghoast, scorpion, habanero, chocolate butlah, one new one called dragons something or other.

It made me appreciate the mildness of the humble habanero.
Never ever did I think I would say that.

I have yet to taste an extract that doesn't taste like shite.

Outside of being a novelty, not sure who or what would actually cook with that stuff

I agree, the only thing good about it is that it really cleans out your sinuses.

Hottest thing? A Carolina reaper. Dried. Stem and all. Maybe a millionish scoville. Or 2.

Worst stomach pains ever?

We did two Toe of Satan challenges about two hours apart. I felt like my insides were shedding like a snake skin for 12 hours or so. 9 million scoville maybe?

ETA: I seem to find natural Chile oils much hotter than extracts in the mouth. But extracts seem to just absolutely obliterate my insides.

The ones I make from peppers in my garden. I've used Habanero, Ghost, Butch T Trinidad Scorpions and of course for milder stuff, Jalapeno and Belgian Hot Wax.

I haven't gotten any store bought hot sauces in years to see what's out there.

Had a dried jalapeño that was super hot. I eat jalapeños at Mexican restaurants but this dried pepper was exponentially hotter.

It was crispy like a potato chip.

I also had something here. It was out for anyone to try, but said must be 18 years or older. It was something with ghost pepper. I got a sticker for trying it. Needless to say it was not worth the sticker and have no desire to ever try anything that hot again

I've made a derivative of a habanero jerk sauce recipe I found on line. I use small amounts to add heat to different dishes.

Phat kaphrao from a street vendor in Bangkok. They said mild or spicy, so I said spicy. I took 2 big bites mixed with rice and I couldn’t feel my mouth...threw it away and the lady was laughing at me. I was shitting out molten lava during the first round of the Muay Thai kickboxing event I was at after dinner. I was also nauseous for a long while.

Same dish in America is called pad krapao.

I like spicy food but have seen a reason to try any sauce hotter than a habanero sauce. I really dread when it comes out the other end.

Too much heat does nothing for the food because all you get is heat.

The Source at the Beef Jerky Outlet, during college, 6.7 Million Scoville Units.
A waiver was required to try it.
We made a bet, out of 5 of us, first to drink milk had to buy a case of beer for the last to drink.

A buddy ate a caroline reaper whole, thought we were gonna have to bring him to the hospital. He had no idea what it was, somebody just had a bag of them and said “twenty bucks to whoever eats one.” He grabbed it and put the whole thing in his mouth without even thinking about it. Immediately regretted it.

In your experience do the reapers usually not produce until the fall? I have a huge reaper plant, close to six feet tall but it has not produced yet. When I bought it got another to give to a buddy. His is not nearly as big as mine but it has been producing for a few weeks now.

I had a clear squid soup in Surat Thani, Thailand that made every gringo at the table clear out and double over outside the restaurant within the first bite or two.

It was like someone put a flaming hot cattle prod directly up my nose and down to my lungs. There wasn't even a chance to cry as it had your eyelids sealed shut like a hatch on a sinking ship.

They produce late summer into fall in my experience. I have a plant that has been growing good all summer, and just started on peppers. I've got six or seven of those bastards with plenty more on the way. Now what to do with them..
