Home-made pickled pepper just outside of Puebla, Mexico, up in the mountains, when I was 18. Grown and preserved by Mexican GF's aunt.
First bite blew the top of my head off, with sinuses emptying out and a feeling of being very high.
My buddy, who was blond and fair, turned beet red. He had to go to the bathroom and deal with his sinuses. His first bite was his last.
I finished mine, though I took tiny bites with plenty of rice, fish, bread, and water to help it along.

I'm all about spicy, tried this at the beef jerky place in Denham, it was pure hell!! Easily the hottest thing I've ever tried.

Never gotten the appeal of insanely hot hot sauces, and I like spicy. Hottest I've probably had is a habanero one. I've found there's a point of diminishing return of flavor the hotter the sauce gets. Just give me one with decent heat and good flavor and I'm happy.
