i drive past it all the time on 59 on the way to my camp, but it is always a madhouse...like causing a traffic jam on the highway madhouse

i reckon it must be good but i'm not stopping unless i see some room in the parking lot

Nowhere near the madhouse bucees is, and I agree with whoever posted it's the best jerkey I've had.

Just came to post this. I'll stack Bourgeois up against any other jerky in the country.

I third this motion for Bourgeois. I remember my dad buying a pound every now and then growing up. It didn't last very long, but was delicious while it did.

I usually stop here couple times a month for jerky. This is by far the best I've ever had.

New Braunfels Smokehouse beef jerky. Used to buy a bag on my daily commute between Austin and San Antonio -- but that was a long time ago. Now that it is $35 a pound... uffda.

Not talking the big brands like jack links. I mean the real shite. Really tough and tasty beef jerky.

Homemade by one of my drinking buddies.

that place is really good. No woody's but still very good.

I use to clean out woody's when we have a game in Dallas.

For the dry leathery stuff, Woody's Smokehouse in Centerville, Texas. It's spectacular. They also have the meatier kind. It's good, but not the best and nowhere close to their dry jerkies.

Bourgeois' Meat Market in Thibodaux, LA. Their jerky is my favorite of the meatier juicy kind. Also spectacular.
