Did they die from separate causes? I read prior posts here indicating that the BR and Lafayette locations did. What about Covington, Metairie and others? They seem to still be huge in other states.

The one near my parents house in Denton is pretty mediocre but the UNT students love it.

Went to the one in Southlake from time to time but they never seemed too busy, up and closed a couple of years ago.

Never noticed a staff problem at Metairie. Just average food and I’m sure the rent was stupid high at that location

Covington, Lafayette, and Metairie were all owned by the same person.... a friend of mine from college. His father owned businesses that managed commercial and rental properties all over the State

They were overpriced and not that good. The one by LSU survived off karaoke nights for years, but shootings in the parking lot eventually killed that.

Over priced! I did like dining in at the Metairie location, but was not surprised to see it go!

Typically the service was meh at the one in Covington - the location was too far from the interstate so it had to rely on locals. I would imagine Mellow is struggling all over the region tho - there's a lot more local competition in the pizza space.

The one in Covington wasn't a great setup for kids either - it seems like the best pizza places are more family friendly with less bar space and more tables.

The one on Oak Street was like the 10th best pizza in a mile radius.

My last two trips to the Metairie location were both over 2 hours due to piss poor service. Haven't been back in years and have no desire to. Shame as I enjoyed their food while at LSU.

Not really anymore in Birmingham. There are 2 locations here, and both appear to do well enough, but I wouldn't say they're huge. Rarely is there a wait for a table at the suburban location, and last time I went to the one close to downtown, it was dead.

Their quality has just gone down hill as they've expanded. It was really good pizza in the late 90's and early 00's when I lived in Atlanta.

The one in LC is pretty good, but it's only been open for a couple years.

In metairie they started with a good staff, but switched the managers, and it went down hill. Some dude Billy was the manager and it went to crap from there. The owner also owned the building so rent was not the issue, but shite management was.

Best pizza in Atlanta during that era was Felini’s in my opinion
