This is the right answer. Subway prices have gotten out of control. Used to be able to get a footlong combo for $7, that's almost doubled.

Five Guys is a quick service restaurant. They are not drive through.

And even though I don’t care for them, I don’t think should be listed as an example for fast food.

Any restaurant that can serve you a burger in less than 5 minutes is fast food.

I have been unable to find any hot item at a fast food place that is not a salt bomb. Every single one has more salt than 1/3 of RDA of salt. Some as much as 10-15x RDA.

Can I get an example of a single fast food item that has 23,000mg sodium?

Of course it’s poor quality. You just ordered a 99 cent burger.

I don't know when's the last time you went to McDonald's, but there's nothing of value on their value menu.

To answer the question, anything at Starbucks or similar coffee shop. Also, any of these "nutrition" places that sell loaded teas. It's powder that you can buy yourself and water.

I still enjoy it and will gladly pay whatever it is it costs to not eat a McDonald's burger, ever again.

Guy didn't frame his argument right with the "Fast food belongs here" line. I could understand that he wanted more of a general interest type economics discussion versus a true "food" discussion.

To the guys standing up for Canes, this is why they suck now.

These nugget-size pieces of shite for $8.

They suck now.

The OT isn't for fast food talk. It's for politics and wokeness.

You’re an adult, you shouldn’t be eating chicken tenders as a meal anyway bro

You can get a Box for $8. That's not bad in today's fast food world.

Yeah and you dont have to get a drink either and its cheaper. Pretty much every place offeres their main dish with fries and a drink for $7-$9. I rarely go but lets say I go to Wendy's I damn near spend $10 on a combo meal. Now with these other places they do have value meals and you can order small fries and a drink so at least you get more options. Canes offers a fine amount of food for the cost. Chicken, fries, toast, slaw(which can be subbed), and sauce.

Apparently everything is too expensive these days according to the 15 threads a week we see.

YES, really ridiculous for what you get. I agree it's pretty good, but $70 for four to eat lunch at a sandwich shop is absurd.
