The chicken chimi is pretty good. Everything else i've had there is below average. Don't get free salsa, and I gotta wait in line to order then wait in another line to order a drink. Is it ideal if ya have kids or something? Good location.

Take it for what it is....which is average to good Tex-Mex. Relatively cheap, fast, and great for kids/families with the patio, etc. Also good for a group just going to hang out and get drinks.

Don't go in expecting world class and you won't be disappointed.

Cheap half-decent tex-mex with strong margaritas.

Went all the time in law school. They had two taco lunch specials with chips, salsa, and a drink for like $3.99

Everything they have is below average but I know that going in. It’s good for kids who want a chicken quesadilla. I just wish they’d come up with a better order/receiving process. It seems like they fck the order up 30% of the time.

I like it for a quick lunch. Gone the last few weekends after a golf outing. I’m sure many people here know Louis, which is one of the biggest reasons I continue to go. Owners are awesome too so I’d prefer to support them over chains.

Zippy’s might have some of the worst food I’ve ever eaten.

It comes with almost every entree

It's a short order place not a sit down restaurant with a waitstaff. There is never a long wait for a drink, ever

It's ideal for anyone

Nachos are good
Quesedillas are good
empenadas are good

If you want free salsa and a waitress/waiter go to Superior Grill or La Carreta

Incredibly meh sober. Also the $5 frozen day (whichever day that was) was always solid to hit up

Quesadilla + brownie after tailgating and drinking all day = incredible

It’s a weird joint. Only worth a trip if you have kids and want to watch sports OR you are already pretty hammered and want to continue watching sports

We used to go pretty regularly but stopped after seeing a rat chilling under a table like it belonged there. It was basically begging for scraps.

I really enjoyed living in that area. Get hammered at Ivar’s and walk to Zippys for food, brunch at Merchant, bring dates to Rock N Sake, walk to Bet R for their breakfast. etc.

It's a place that serves stuff one step up from Taco Bell and sells margaritas. Let's not over complicate things. It's good for what it is.

Ain't bad at all for lunch if you can get past the two regular smokers wall of smoke on the patio.
