Hackett's south of LC is damn strong.

Bergeron's in Bossier City. They've got a wide variety of boudins, excellent andouille and sliced smoked turkey and ham.

Hogs head cheese and boudin burritos from Off The Bone have been in a heavy roatation for me lately.

Rabideaux's in Iowa and Hebert's in Maurice are both really good. Billeaud's in Broussard has a nice selection of stuff too but my favorite has to be Lagneaux's in Lafayette. I've never bought anything there, cooked and ate it then thought, I'm not getting that again. I have at the other two.

Heberts in Maurice was always my favorite. One that I never see mentioned here is Chops in Broussard. Really, really good boudin and lots of very unique and creative types of sausages. Plus the place is absolutely immaculately clean.

I am honestly shocked. It has been a long long time since I moved from Lafayette so it must have went down hill.

What is it about chops that you do not like? The boudin?

Kartchners in Krotz Springs, boudin, stuffed chicken, sausage. Stuffed Boudin Jalopenos are awesome.

I've only been a few times and I really liked the stuffed boneless chicken I got, but they never had that particular stuffing again.
My husband loves their boudin but I'm loyal to Billeaud's, so he just gets some for himself. I don't like the taste of the pepper. It dominates.
