I think we can all agree that Red Delicious are at the bottom. I used to be a firm believer that Honeycrisp was at the top and could never be beaten. I only bought Honeycrisp for over 2 years.

Then I tried a Pink Lady. I’m a fairly new convert but I can’t imagine an Apple any better.

Do any of you have another variety I should try? My current rankings are:

Pink Lady
Honeycrisp
Fiji
Jazz
Ambrosia
Granny Smith
Red Delicious

Thanks for your help. I’m already excited to try what you guys suggest.

We don't all agree. Pick one of these gems off a tree in Michigan late fall and you'll become a believer.

Only because my FIL doesn't post here. He is so resistant to change that, when we were telling him about the new apple varieties, he just shut it down with, "I like Red Delicious."

Fuji and Honeycrisp.. Used to love granny smith, but I only like them when making a homemade apple sauce now.

I forgot about Gala. I’ve had them also. I think I’d rank them around Fiji or Jazz.

Not a big apple guy, but Granny Smith when I do eat them. I like tartness.

Envy or Kiku (which I don't see often). Jazz if I can't get Envy.
