tasty gin
However, it has a very good claim to the title of GOAT base liquor for cocktails.

Once you try a saffire gin bloody mary you wont go back to vodka. Its so much better.

Might be the best cocktail in existence. You have to buy special liqueurs for it, but it's worth it.

I got a bottle of the 2020 Letherbee Vernal, which is made with horseradish. I've wanted to try it in a bloody but haven't gotten around to it.

Gin, peach juice, sparkling water and a lemon or lime wedge
My wife bought several kinds of the Simply juices this summer to make cocktails with. The Peach was our favorite and makes good drinks with Gin or Bourbon. The Simply Watermelon works really well with tequila and a salted rim

I’m a gin ‘n’ tonic man but I enjoy a little gin ‘n’ juice when the mood calls for it. Gin with orange juice is good. So is gin with mango juice. Sometimes I’ll do gin with both mango and guava juice and won’t stir it so it has a marbled look to it. Very tasty.

Just want to say thank you to everyone for the suggestions, I've probably tried a half dozen of them. The Gimlet was the best that I made, I believe. Probably just my natural affection for tart/borderline sour cocktails.
Best overall was coming home from work on Valentine's and my wife had an ice cold Gibson waiting for me

Bombay Sapphire is too strong for me. I do love a good gin Bloody Mary.

If sour is your preference, try a Gin Rickey. Very refreshing.

Last Word is my wife's favorite classic Gin cocktail.
The basic recipe is 1 part Gin, 1 part Green Chartreuse, 1 part Lime juice, 1 part Maraschino liqueur. You can play with the ratios to fit your flavor preference but the cocktail should be balanced between sweet and sour.
She bumps the gin up a bit to and adds less Luxardo. Her ratio looks more like
1.25 part Gin,
1 part Green Chartreuse,
.5 part Lime juice,
.75 part Luxardo
The lime juice is reduced as well because less is needed to tame the sweetness due to the reduction of Luxardo.
Build it in a shaker with plenty of ice and shake it like it owes you money then strain into a chilled coupe or cocktail glass. Garnish with a lemon twist & Luxardo maraschino cherry.

I’ve become a gin fanatic recently. I’ve really enjoyed Tanqueray martinis with about a 6:1 ratio of gin to vermouth with a lemon twist. Aviation gin martinis are probably my favorite though, as it has a very interesting and almost peppery clean finish. I tried a Gunpowder gin martini at the best restaurant in MS - White Pillars - and it was amazing too.
What are your favorite gins, what is your martini ratio, and do you prefer lemon or olive?

I agree that 6:1 is an ideal ratio for a martini imo
