Your rant about Nashville reminded me of one that I had forgotten about.

Husk in Nashville was extremely disappointing. Nice ambiance but the food was ok at best.

Antoine's
Highly disappointed. Extremely overpriced for very average food for New Orleans.

Who can really say what’s the one absolute “best dining experience”? It’s pretty much a matter of taste.

But it’s ridiculous to include GW Fins in a thread about “most overrated “.
Whatever you say, Cpt Contradiction.

It's not nearly the best food or experience in the city, nor do I think it's overrated.

Bayona and Doris. Neither are bad, in fact they are good but they don't come close to the hype.

For fast food, Five Guys is flavorless garbage. The tomato overpowers the flavor of the beef.

Do your research. Very few think much of it for the last 30 years.

Middendorfs was first to come to mind.

Close second was this steak housr in Little Rock called Butcher Shop. Steak taste like it was marinated in water. I was thinking it and then my wife said it out loud.

Rudy’s BBQ in Katy is junk. Place is always packed and was on Food Network I think.

Has Copeland’s made the list yet? I think I’d rather have Mcdonald’s
This is about overrated, not simply bad. Nobody hypes Copeland's any longer, nobody rates it highly.

Forgot about that one. I'd hear his commercials on the Food Show and it persuaded me to give it a try. Wife and I dined alone. Place was very dark and every single picture was crooked. I ordered the dish he was talking about on the show. Speckled Trout with crazy water sauce. Bland as can be. We were there at least an hour and I believe one other table was occupied.

Cochon Butcher. I thought it was nothing special, but it's always packed. Guess it's me.

Dong phoung. Nothing here was any different than any other soup place. I was expecting to much I guess.

I can't remember if I've had stuff from there or not, but it sounds familiar. On another note...I went to Dinosaur BBQ in Syracuse and surprisingly, I thought that place was legit.

Irene's?
Vincent's?

I like Sal & Judy's, but hands down? Maybe best on the Northshore, but on my last visit it wasn't as great as I remembered from the past. I wouldn't say it's overrated, but based on my memory, it isn't what it was. It does have an excellent rep so maybe that is why someone stated that it was overrated.
