You might be getting jaded.

I've found a lot of good stuff here from casual to fine dining.

The specials are sometimes pretty good, but the every day menu is nowhere near the quality the price suggests.

Hey, you get the chance to pay $3 for baked garlic, though. So you have that going for you.

If you are going to pick a overhyped steakhouse I’d say Fleming’s

La Fonda is Tex Mex. Trying to play it off as anything else is just silly (and cheesy as stated above).

My only point here, is that if you go for enchiladas or fajitas, you will be disappointed, and say, “why is this place so popular... this place sucks!”

I’m saying people don’t go there for the “Tex-mex”.

My wife’s parents have eaten there most every Friday night for nearly 50 years. She’s been eating there since she was in a high chair. It’s like growing up on your mother’s gumbo. If that’s what you’re used to, and that’s what you’re in the mood for, nothing else will do. Nothing cheesy about it.

If it makes her happy, I’ll suffer through a liter of margaritas over some chips and a ribeye.

What's that's home of the throwed roll?

Order sausage and sauerkraut expecting some prepared dish.

Comes back with a hot dog in a just opened can.

Why do you people insist on adding an S to the name?

In-N-Out, it's good but it's in the same territory as Shake Shack/Five Guys, IMO.

when going back out to Cali I will eat there once. I also hit up my skanky Mexican places for a good carne asada burrito.

You didn't say where in California but if in San Diego, ever try La Posta De Acapulco’s in Hillcrest? Sketchy as hell but best Mexican food ever.

Haven't eaten there in a long while, but they used to have a great happy hour burger/fries deal. I think it was like $8 or something. Not sure that is still a thing

I don't wait for anything nor do I order anything. I think the place is overrated garbage; hence, I don't go there.

Ruffino's is way overpriced for the quality of food. The last 2 times ( and I do mean last times) I went to Cane's the breading all fell off the chicken and the FFs were raw.

PF Chang's. While it's not a 5 star it gets a lot of hype. I didn't see much diff. b/t it and run of the mill Asian cuisine places.
I'll second this. I was super disappointed the one time I went.
