Dear Friends,

I am having a splendid evening to myself. I went to Walmart earlier in the day -- no luck on finding a "Fellas be yelling Marrero" t-shirt at the Gentilly Walmart. But I did pick up some sardines in Louisiana hot sauce. The hot sauce is not Louisiana brand as far as I can tell. They are quite a nice treat to join with the Great Value smoked oysters we all love so much.

True, they are not as good as a batch of freshly caught sardines, salted, oiled, and grilled on the beach in Sciacca, but they will do.

An addendum to tonight's WFDT entry is a reminder to watch the pricing on Great Value goods. I have warned you for a long time that they are doing psychological experiments on us to determine if we are paying attention to pricing as well as how good our maths ability is. A prime example from today is in the pricing of the strawberry preserves made by Great Value. A 13 ounce bottle goes for $1.84.

Just below it, though, a slight bend of the knee below it, are the 18 ounce bottles of the same strawberry preserves. Shockingly, these bottles are also $1.84! Walmart is not even trying to hide these experiments on us anymore. No maths skills needed.

Jesus, as always, was correct when he said, "Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves."

Yours,
TulaneLSU

Dear Friend,

I too enjoy the joy of opening up a fresh can of sardines. As soon as the fish smell hits my nose it brings me great memories of Mother.

Yours sincerely truly love,

I wanted this meal to be my contest entry, but I decided the shrimp are not the star of this show.

Redfish with Cream Shrimp Sauce, Slaw and cold Avocado Soup.

Not bad for Keto eating!

Some reading skills might help.

The 13 ounce jar is sugar free.

The 18 ounce jar isn't.
