I am disappointed. About to head out to Eat at Adolfo’s and looked on TD/ Food board for suggestions. Based on the post on here we changed our minds end ended up at Mosca’s. I will not support a restaurant that supports Antifa, Takem down NOLA, or any other group that is on the spectrum of the communism movement. Really sad, as we are a big fan of la boca and high hat.

Wanted Zorba's after all the discussion, but their Covid menu did not have paputsakia or mustard red snapper.

So I got Superior Grill, chili con queso and parrillada combo dinner, which included soups, chicken and steak fajitas, grilled jumbo shrimp, shrimp brochetas, half-rack of BBQ ribs.

Tried to make pigs in a blanket (Lil Smokie style, of course).

Discovered halfway through the pre-heating process that the oven was broken

Decided to make them in batches in the toaster oven instead.

The good news:

I only burned the bottoms of half of them.

The technician came by and fixed the oven. Allegedly.

I have plenty of vodka.

We had fried catfish.

Catfish Meuniere Amandine with creamy cheesy grits, Zydeco green beans, crab and shrimp au gratin stuffed mushrooms, and fried shrimp.

Someday I am showing up for dinner, but not in a creepy way. That looks so freaking unbelievably good.

325 for 45 to 60 minutes, depending on size. If it looks like the chicken is cooked but the skin is not there (may happen if pieces are smaller), crank the heat up for a couple of minutes. It’ll get as crispy as fried.

I'm a little late, but tonight we have Mississippi pot roast, I picked up some fresh green beans that I have smothering with a little smoked sausage, some tomatoes that were picked this afternoon, and I'm gonna lightly steam a little sweet corn right before we eat.

For later, I didn't spin up any ice cream this afternoon. It's summer. I made raspberry sherbet.
