Chicken shawarma salad from Zeus via waitr. Hobbling around with knee trouble and cooking is not a priority.

A friend of mine who's a chicken farmer gave me one of his chicken. To honor this animal, I decided to cook a little feast.

Chicken rice and salad

Chicken porridge with liver

We took a long walk this afternoon, and decided to stop at a little Mexican place that was about halfway down our route.

We each got a few margaritas (rocks, no salt, the way nature intended them) and we got a half order of guacamole.

I ordered 2 tacos...I went with the chorizo (baby yukon potato, onion, cilantro, charred chipotle & tomatillo salsas) and steak (cotija, chimichurri). They were both excellent...the chorizo was nice and rich and spicy, and the steak was tender and cooked perfectly, both on house-made tortillas.

The chimichurri was the absolute star, though.

It's rare to find decent tacos up here, so I was very pleasantly surprised by our accidental dinner

Snacky dinner of prepared foods from Alexander’s.

Shrimp cocktail
Pesto pasta salad
Boudin stuffed chicken popper
Southwest egg roll

Working on my competition dish, so I’ll be up for a while.

I can't stand a frozen margarita. Top shelf, rocks, no salt all day for me.

A cup of decaf coffee.

Lunch was three pieces of a fathead crust Italian Sausage, Pepperoni and Shrimp pizza. That was my food for today.

These days, we drink McDonald's K-Cup. just easier, and on the middle button, I like the flavor. I do McDonalds caffeine in the morning and their DeCaf at night, but I am old as dirt and don't tolerate caffeine at night very well anymore.

For a long time, I roasted my own beans, but not so much anymore. There were beans from Zimbabwe we ordered. You can still buy them, but they are hard to find now, so I gave them up.

For years I got them from a good friend in Zimbabwe, but it has gotten very hard to arrange shipment and Amazon only has one source.
