French fries and mayo
.....there’s multiple countries where this is the norm. So that can’t be your weird combo.

I like BBQ sauce on my baked potatoes, in addition to other toppings.
BBQ potatoes are pretty common at BBQ places around here, sauce does go well with potato though.

That's almost chilaquiles with an egg.

Not sure how unusual this is but I love Mayo on sloppy joes. It used to gross my wife out.
I do mayo and dill pickles on sloppy joes and a pulled pork BBQ sandwich.

Banana sandwhich with a thin layer of mayo. Common to some older people. Most think its weird.

Nobody ever believes me how good it is until they try it, but I love Steen's on pizza

I like them that way too. Ditto for chili dogs.

Parmesan cheese on a BBQ pulled pork sandwich is great.

I like dipping my grilled cheese sandwich in Steen's cane syrup or maple syrup. Highly suggest it because it's delicious.

when I'm not super hungry and I can't find much in the fridge that looks appetizing, I'll defrost some frozen boudin (usually from Ronnie's) and saute it in a pan with a drained can of sweet peas.

I live in Memphis now where a lot of folks put cole slaw on BBQ sandwiches, and I grew up in Greene County, AL where most people put mayo and dill pickles on BBQ sandwiches. I had a friend at my grandmother's once and they both thought it was weird that the other did cole slaw or mayo/pickles. I always say what you said, they're both just mayo and veggies not really that different
